Important Items for Current ResidentsThe staff at Heritage Properties has put together this list to try to anticipate any resident needs and to facilitate our residents understanding of our policies and procedures. Rent: Rent is due on the first of the month. It can be paid by a personal check, money order or certified bank check. You may mail it to our corporate office at: You may also drop it in one of the other rent boxes located at:
Office Hours: Heritage Properties Corporate Office 978-458-0001 Hallmark Village onsite office 978-458-1000 East Meadow Lane onsite office 978-458-3300 River Crossing onsite office 978-649-2700 Parking: If you need assistance with parking please contact your Property Manager or onsite Resident Manager. Maintenace: If you need any maintenance performed in your apartment please contact your Property Manager to make a request. Snow Removal: For snow removal, please be prepared to move for the plow truck. Clean off your vehicle prior to the truck’s arrival. Kindly cooperate with Heritage Properties staff and plow truck driver to ensure the efficiency and safety of the snow removal process. Please keep in mind that snow removal is not just a convenience, it is also a safety issue for all of our residents. Rubbish: Dumpsters are provided on all properties; please make sure to throw all your trash into the dumpster. Laundry: Laundry equipment is maintained by Automatic Laundry (except for East Meadow Lane Apartments and Edgewood Gardens). All machines accept quarters. If there are any issues with the laundry equipment provided by Automatic Laundry kindly contact them at 800-422-5833. For laundry problems at East Meadow Lane and Edgewood Gardens, kindly contact your Property Manager. Lock Out: If you get locked out of your apartment, Maintenance staff will come out to open a door for a person who is a legal tenant ONLY. Proof must be provided in the form of a picture ID that matches the name on your lease. We will not open any doors for anyone under the age of 18. There is a $125.00 charge for a maintenance person to come out and open a door after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and any time during the weekend. This fee must be collected in cash before the maintenance staff person is allowed to open your door for you. Keys: We will replace lost keys; however there is a $21.00 charge to replace a key. Door Mats: To protect your carpet in your apartment during the bad weather months please use your kitchen entrance door. Do not place mats in the common area hall; they will be removed by Management. Garbage Disposals: Garbage disposals are a convenience so food being discarded does not rot in a trash bag. Items that should NOT go into a garbage disposal are bones, banana skins, or rice. The bones and skins will break the disposal and the rice will clog the disposal. Also make sure you run the water when the disposal is on; if you don’t you could burn out the motor. Utility Services: You have the option of choosing Verizon or Comcast for your local phone service. Comcast at (800) COMCAST (800-266-2278) for Cable TV, Internet, & telephone services. National Grid can be reached at 800-322-3223 for electricity. IF you lose power contact National Grid immediately. Lowell Sun can be reached at 978-458-7100 for local newspaper service. Change of Address: You will need to fill out a change of address form at the Post Office or www.usps.com. To change your address on your license, you need to go to the Registry of Motor Vehicles, located at 450 Chelmsford St. |
